We are proud to be the largest collector of Southern African contemporary art in the world, with over 9,000 original pieces displayed across our restaurants. Paintings, prints, ceramics, textiles and fixtures bring character and energy into every space.

Every artwork carries a voice, a history and a place of origin. Many pieces are created by talented artists from South Africa, Malawi, Zimbabwe and beyond. Their work reflects their communities, traditions and lived experiences.

Through our long-term partnership with Spier Arts Trust, we support opportunities for artistic development. When you admire the art on our walls, you are seeing the work of over 350 artists from our homeland.

Our iconic Nando's font comes from the sign-writing traditions of Southern Africa. Artist Marks Salimu hand-painted every letter onto wooden panels, shaping the character-filled font we use today. And if you look closely, many headings tilt at 87 degrees as a nod to the year we were born: 1987.
